You may have heard that five previous Riflemen, Peter Littlehales, Julian Byng, Jack Francis, Henry Hughes, and I are running a Golf Day for Care for Casualties (C4C) and the ABF on 7th May at The Berkshire Golf Club where we are all Members. The Club has kindly offered us the use of the Club free, except for the cost of Lunch etc. The ABF have been most helpful with their experience and advice, and have agreed that C4C can receive the bulk of the day's takings. A most supportive joint letter signed by General Sir Nick Parker and General Sir Evelyn Webb-Carter, of The ABF, went out to participants in June last year. I attach a copy of this letter HERE.
The Organising Committee has gathered together some excellent prizes; I hope you will agree, for an Auction on the day, and a Silent Auction which can take place earlier if desired. This is obviously a very important part of the day's money raising activity. The Auction list can be viewed by clicking HERE.
These lots will be auctioned at the Berkshire Golf Club on the afternoon of Monday 7th May 2012. Anyone wishing to register a commission bid with the auctioneer should do so by contacting Hugh Dumas at hpedumas@gmail.com, with a copy to Peter Walker at peter.walker205@mod.uk.
