Downside a leading Catholic co-educational boarding and day school for pupils aged eleven to eighteen seeks to appoint a committed, energetic and enthusiastic Senior Staff Instructor
Reporting to the CCF Contingent Commander, the SSI is a key CCF staff member whose principal role is to organize and deliver military and adventurous training to all Sections of the CCF (RN and Army), and to assist with Quartermaster duties.
The SSI will have SNCO or Warrant Officer status.
The CCF SSI would need to possess qualifications in outdoor pursuits and adventurous training, such as mountain leadership, climbing and kayak instruction. A current driving licence is required. Relevant experience of working with Cadets or young people would be beneficial. Our ideal candidate will be proactive and selfmotivated, with the ability to both lead and work as part of a team.
Normal working hours are 5 days a week primarily (but not exclusively) during school term time which may include Saturdays and / or Sundays depending on CCF and School weekend activities.
