The Omega vacancy bulletin details active roles and is distributed across the Regiment; please distribute widely across county networks.

1    Electrical fitter    Tewkesbury    •    Basic electrical assemblers required to work on military communications eqpt.
•    Some experience of:
o    Electrical work
o    Fault finding
o    Soldering    £19 – 20K      2   

2    Storeman        •    Knowledge and experience of working in stores/warehouse environment    £15K       1    •    Would suit Rfn/JNCO with stores experience

3    Warehouse manager        •    Ability to run a busy warehouse.
•    Responsible for INBOUND and OUTBOUND goods and maintaining stock inventory
•    Experience of logistics/supply chain management    £35K       1    •    Would suit a SNCO with G4 and leadership experience who has warehouse experience.

4    Cadet Administrative Asst    Altcar Training Camp,
Merseyside    •    Applicants should preferably have served as a Warrant Officer or Senior Non Commissioned Officer in the Armed Forces and will have been employed as either CQMS or RQMS in their unit.
•    A well experienced person in G1 and G4 duties and procedures.
•    The ability to identify and report building faults.
•    A current clean driving licence (preferably LGV and Minibus).
•    Proven IT experience in the use of all Microsoft applications.
•    A working knowledge of Westminster would be desirable.    From £29,258    1    Closing date for apps 18 May 12

5    Finance officer      Liverpool    The primary role of this post is as a Finance Officer so applicants must be experienced accountants although knowledge and experience of Human Resources would be an advantage.
The appointment calls for experience in:
•    Financial planning (short and long term).
•    In-year budget management.
•    Commercial accounting procedures including the preparation of accounts for audit.
•    Savings and Efficiency Measures.
•    Investments.
•    Salaries and superannuation.
•    Dealing with HMRC.
Knowledge of Service Funds Accounting and the management of Human Resources are desirable.  The job entails the supervision of a small Finance Section and includes the compilation of standardised returns as required by the Ministry of Defence.

6    Health & Safety Manager    Afghanistan    As the Health & Safety Manager you will be working for a US international construction company that works with the US Army Corps of Engineers delivery construction projects across Afghanistan. This is a challenging position which will test your QA / QC management and construction skills.
Working knowledge of the Health, Safety & Environment field - ideally within the US or with US Military.
Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation, and legal procedures
Experience of enforcing Health and Safety legislation, conducting premises inspections
and auditing to determine compliance with legislative requirements
Experience of investigating work related accidents, ill health reports, in a commercial
environment.    $7000 pm       

7    Asst Project Manager    Surrey    •    Proven track record of project management over several years
•    Will be able to obtain a high level security clearance and be medically fit
•    An understanding of providing services to remote locations
•    Ideally hold an appropriate qualification, preferably in the Technical or Engineering field    £35K    1   

8    UK Business Manager      Swindon    A multinational supplier of sterilisation solutions currently have a requirement for a Business Unit Manager to work across three Microbiology Labs. You will be responsible for standardising the laboratory divisions, improving processes, reducing costs and ultimately increase sales/margin.

Responsibilities:
•    To define strategies, business plans and vision
•    To provide leadership and support to the laboratory managers and division
•    Drive business change and continuous improvement/process improvement
•    Support the UK Commercial Director in sales growth through new service offerings
•    To drive service and quality excellence within the laboratories
•    Manage financials and experience of managing a P&L
•    Ensure the three laboratory service are marketed as single business unit
•    Successful candidate:
o    Experience/understanding of laboratories
o    Degree or relevant qualification
o    Previous experience growing a service division
o    Experience of driving change and improvements
o    Proactive, driven and ambitious self-starter    £45K      1   

9    Site manager    Worcester Rugby Club    •    A confident, competent leader/manager required for Worcester Rugby Club to manage team of stewards on match days.
•    All training provided    £40 – 50 (4 – 5 hours work on match days)    2 – 3     •    Would suit a SNCO Worcester supporter who wants to earn some extra money.
•    This role will start next season.
•    We can establish a team of suitable individuals to manage this contract.

10    Site manager    Westonbirt    •    Manage traffic management plan and team of road marshals & car parkers during summer festivals and autumn peak periods.
•    Sect 8 traffic management trg provided    £12+ per hour    5    Position subject to contract award

12    Housekeeper    Hampshire    •    Couple required to live in a one bedroom cottage and provide domestic service to a large house 4 mornings per week.
•    Duties will include cleaning, ironing etc
•    Job will include dog walking and providing a presence for security purposes.
•    The job does not employ the second member of the couple.      Cottage rent free

Hours worked paid          The cottage is located in a quiet attractive rural setting. It is a good opportunity to save money as the cottage (and some of the services) is provided free.

13    Event stewards      Across UK     •    No previous experience required all training provided.    £60 – 70pd    50+     •    Omega have contracts to provide stewards for most of this year’s festivals and some large sporting events. 
•    This is an introduction to working in events and provides NVQ2 in stewarding.

14    SIA badge holders      Across UK    •    Must hold valid SIA badge
•    Some experience of working at events would be useful.      £100+ pd    20+     •    Omega are tendering to provide SIA badge holders to support a wide range of events (festivals to Premier league rugby) this year.

15    Security officer    Anglesay    •    A great opportunity for a JNCO or above to secure a position within the security industry.
•    Company has requested an ex-military JNCO or above.      £20K    1 - 2    •    Welsh speaker desirable, but not essential
•    Suitable for JNCO and above.
