·        Ability to meet tight deadlines and to ensure all work schedules are met as required

·        A good command of the English language in order to effectively liaise with customers

·        The Mechanical and Electrical officer will be responsible for providing mechanical and/or electrical engineering skills within the construction of new structures on an MoD camp in Afghanistan.

·        Must be of a Technical status and have a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience.

·        Must hold HNC, HND or equivalent or higher qualifications in an appropriate discipline together with relevant experience. (Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Building Technology, Construction or Civil Engineering).

·        Experience in Construction Health and Safety with a second level qualification e.g. appropriate CSCS Card

·        Experience in all aspect of construction site management

Finance officer

 Liverpool

The primary role of this post is as a Finance Officer so applicants must be experienced accountants although knowledge and experience of Human Resources would be an advantage.

The appointment calls for experience in:

·        Financial planning (short and long term).

·        In-year budget management.

·        Commercial accounting procedures including the preparation of accounts for audit.

·        Savings and Efficiency Measures.

·        Investments.

·        Salaries and superannuation.

·        Dealing with HMRC.

Knowledge of Service Funds Accounting and the management of Human Resources are desirable.  The job entails the supervision of a small Finance Section and includes the compilation of standardised returns as required by the Ministry of Defence.
