Head of Special Commissions Dept

London

·        An opportunity to join a business established since the 17th Century which specialise in medal and coin auctions and the production of unique, high quality, high worth presentation pieces. 

·        Its Special Commissions Dept produces medals, orders and decorations to order for the home and export market.  It has considerable experience and strong links with the Middle East, having provided numerous commissions for Middle Eastern Royal Families and their Armed Forces.

·        This role will work with the current Head of the Special Commissions Dept and is an 18 month+ development programme, after which the successful candidate will take over the Department on retirement of the incumbent.  It will involve regular overseas travel. 

·        The Head of the Special Commissions Dept has full autonomy over the day to day running of the Dept, providing regular updates to the Board.

·        Candidate requirements:

o   An intelligent, self-starter with entrepreneurial traits and the personality to develop excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

o   Excellent attention to detail with an understanding that it is often the small things that matter.

o   Good standard of written English

o   Must be able to understand and accept the context in which they are working.

o   Prepared to get involved with all aspects of the business: must be hands on.

o   No silver or jewellery trade experience required

o   Must be able to portray the correct image of the company’s brand to potential customers and contacts.

o   Excellent communicator and presenter who can keep the potential customer focussed on the product

o   Excellent networker with an ability to build long term relationships with potential clients and interlocutors at a senior level.

o   Have the confidence and presence to present to Government ministers and Royalty.

o   Passion and interest in fine art with an aptitude for understanding how something is made

 Liverpool

The primary role of this post is as a Finance Officer so applicants must be experienced accountants although knowledge and experience of Human Resources would be an advantage.

The appointment calls for experience in:

·        Financial planning (short and long term).

·        In-year budget management.

·        Commercial accounting procedures including the preparation of accounts for audit.

·        Savings and Efficiency Measures.

·        Investments.

·        Salaries and superannuation.

·        Dealing with HMRC.

Knowledge of Service Funds Accounting and the management of Human Resources are desirable.  The job entails the supervision of a small Finance Section and includes the compilation of standardised returns as required by the Ministry of Defence.

Afghanistan

·        Provide Mechanical Handling Equipment training on military bases within Afghanistan to deliver and assess the unqualified and novice forklift and MHE operator and MHE training short course, in line with local and national certificate requirements, all courses accredited.

·         Encompassing a wide variety of material-handling assets, ranging from light forklifts to heavy cranes and container handlers. Such as rough-terrain container handler; extended boom forklift; light-capability, rough-terrain forklift; multipurpose tractor.

·        Candidates should possess a relevant instructor qualification e.g. CPCS Instructor and/or RTITB Instructor (essential)

·         GCSE Math's & English grade A-C or equivalent (desirable).

·        IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent, to include experience of delivering H&S training

·         Proven leadership, management and Change Management experience in a distribution business

·         Proven ability to work in remote, arduous and austere locations, or a clearly expressed commitment to do so for 12 months

·         Experience of work as a camp manager in a remote site environment

·        Sound knowledge of various properties maintenance aspects

·        Good communication and inter-personal skills with ability to communicate well with other departments

·         Willing to commit to working in Nigeria

·        Candidates with a mechanical or electrical engineering background is desirable but not essential.

Scheduler/

Planner

  Isle of Wight

·        Schedulers/ planner for an engineering coordination role on the A400M aircraft

·        Contract role

·        Someone who can schedule and organise the design, manufacturing and business function. In simple terms, data handling and manipulation – interpreting data and feeding it back into reports and using projections to inform scheduling.

·        The successful candidate will have previous experience in a Project Engineering or Programme Management role within an engineering environment, as well as expertise in project management methodologies.

·        Likely to be from an engineering discipline ideally within an aerospace environment, you must be highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Project and Excel.

·        Numerate and articulate with excellent data analysis and reporting skills

·        You must show yourself able to influence stakeholders at all levels within the business, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to rationalise, assess and evaluate information that may not always be clear.
